Hold your tooth by the crown, not the root, and gently rinse it with milk.
Attempt to place your tooth back in its socket and then hold it in place with a tissue or a piece of gauze.
If you can’t put your tooth back in its socket, store it in a glass of milk or inside your cheek.

Cracked or Broken Tooth — Rinse your mouth with warm water to remove bacteria and food debris. Apply a cold compress to minimize swelling. Gather any broken pieces and bring them with you to your appointment. Avoid chewing on the affected side.
